Our greatest fear should not be of failure, but of succeeding at something that doesn’t really matter.” - D.L. Moody (via happyslip)

We can totally expand on this… (and this is a reminder for myself as well)

A LIST of THINGS that doesn’t really matter in the bigger picture:

  1. youtube subscribers count
  2. twitter followers count
  3. facebook like’rs
  4. tumblr followers count
  5. who I know
  6. who you know that i “should” know
  7. who I know that you “should” know

The people (represented by the numbers) matter, sure…But whether we make a difference to a person or a million people - doesn’t make one person better than the other. The “fame” status attached with the statistics won’t really define you in the long run. Do what you do ‘cause you’re gifted in it and you’re called to be in it.

Think bigger… not in terms of numbers… but in what you’re leaving behind…

…I think its just because we’re young that we’re taught (or society tells us) to just not care… But what if we could start a little earlier and not wait till we’re in our 50s? Maybe awesome’r things can happen.
