Here’s the performance I did for Guitar Center’s Singer/Songwriter finalist performance at The Hotel Cafe earlier this month. Enjoy.
Twas around 2006 or 07? when I first went to a show at The Hotel Cafe. I’ve always loved the vibe of the venue ever since then and what it represented - independent artists/singer/songwriters. It’s now this popular venue that “everybody” plays at and I’m just honored to have graced the stage a few times through the years. I’ve done a few showcases, sat-in for artist friends (i.e. Tony Lucca, Ernie Halter, etc.), and even did solo-sets back in 2007.
But this time…
I’m headlining… not because of a recent release, etc… just cause, I suppose. :)
It feels weird and awesome.

This is the song I wrote with DRH (David Ryan Harris) back in May 2011 and since we were both in the same line-up that night, he was gracious enough to hop onstage and play with me. So much fun. :)

Besides seeing videos, I don’t even remember the last time I saw Tony sing this song live! This is the song that got me lovin’ for the Lucca. And this happens to be the song that I covered on my YouTube years back that pretty much brought us together as musical collaborators and importantly, friends. :) Awww.

I’m still pinching myself that my set was between Tony Lucca’s and DRH’s!!!! Since I collaborated with both of ‘em, Angelique (who put the show together), “sandwhiched” me in the line-up. How awesome…. :)
