I’m behind on “online” life right now but here’s a video of me, Cathy Nguyen (lilcdawg), and Nessa Rica (@nessarica & 52ness on youtube)
…singing my original “throwback” tune MEANT TO BE! :)
Thank you to Andrew Rose for filming and editing!! :)

I almost choked up when I saw this. I haven’t seen this since 2007.
This is the paper where I finalized writing the song. Even after I typed it out and printed, I tried to think of better lines when any of them didn’t satisfy me.
So folks, if you want to know how I lyrically crafted the tune and how I edited so much of it along the way…You’re more than welcome to analyze this thing. And to think, I almost titled the song “Darlin’” ‘cause I thought “Meant to Be” was a little cheeseball. I’m also glad I changed the first two lines of the second verse.
Anyways, I thought I should share this with y’all. Goodnight.
Love y’all.

It’s a trip in itself that strangers cover my songs. It’s even more of an honor when friends do it! Miss Lydia Paek singing “Meant To Be.”

Meant to be || Melissa Polinar (Live @ The palace of Fine Arts, SF)
I swear, if you don’t know who she is, please find the time to get to know her and her music, shes a sweetheart, a very very very amazing musician. Of all people to take a picture with, she was the only one I didn’t get. However, I had the honor of meeting her backstage and shes a doll.

Hey loves, these recordings were done through my phone @ the Palace of Fine Arts for One Night Only in San Francisco with Gabe Bondoc and Melissa Polinar on December 18, 2009. Please enjoy.
I never heard myself sing through a phone recording before - so this is a first. Notice the lyric change: “You can feel it in the winter breeze, your warmth puts me at ease.” I changed it because it was seasonal-appropriate (still is) and because I can. ;)
Thank you for the kind words. I’m sure another bay visit will be in the works sooner or later. Happy to have sung for you SF people. (“hella” & “yee!”) **high five**
