visited my former publishing headquarters today. had lunch with someone who still works there since when I was still under them (…i think about the only one left). it felt weird going in the building. it almost felt like the twilight zone or going back to your high school campus.
Had the chance to meet and talk to the current “head hanchos” of publishing there. Nice people.
…still. It felt weird being around the area and inside the building. ha.
On a lighter note: I got free CDs/music from them. I don’t know how my check-in suitcase can handle all the extra stuff I’m bringing as I go through each city.
g’nite.

browsin’ through billboard.com and I saw this.
…not that I’m into country that much…but I just felt a little nostalgic after I saw it.
I used to have a 615 phone number. -_-
Oh Nashville, I kinda do miss you. I just don’t know how much but at least I know there’s a small percentage of you still left in my heart even after all these years. <3

Old-school photo of the night #3:
FIRST LOS ANGELES gig. EVER. It was at the Westwood Brewing Company and as you can see in the picture, ‘twas 2005. “Acoustic Live” was the first competition I joined (and one of the very few I allowed myself to enter) and at the same time, I visited my cousin who lived in the area. An awesome end of the night was that I won 1st place. :)
Good times.

I forgot what year this was but this was at a gig at the historic Bluebird Cafe in Nashville, TN.
If you’re a singer/songwriter, it’s kinda a “staple” to play at over there. It’s almost like a “Hotel Cafe” in LA but less swanky and more downhome (since it is Nashville after all). I made sure I could put a checkmark in my bucket list.
Good times.
